WIAA handbook rule 20.5.9 mandates that “Hands-on” Pole Vault Coaches Training is required for Pole Vault Coaches. Coaches must be recertified every two (2) years with “hands on” training to be required the first two (2) two-year cycles and either the “hands on” training or completion of WIAA-approved online courses during the next two-year cycle.

2022-23 Pole Vault Coaches Training will be offered at various locations throughout the year.

Because of WIAA handbook rule 20.5.1.B, which requires that coaches must be at least 19 years of age, certificates for completing a clinic and passing the test will be issued only to individuals who are at least 19 years of age. Additionally, you must pay the registration fee, complete the clinic and pass the required test before receiving your certification document (via e-mail) following your clinic date. The only acceptable method of payment is by credit card and must be prior to attending the clinic. Any coach who fails to pay on the day of the clinic will not be allowed to participate in the certification.

*A minimum of seven (7) coaches must be registered for each certification course in order for the clinic to be held.
