The WIAA is proud to partner with Playfly Esports and their platform provider, Generation Esports to offer WIAA member schools an esports infrastructure solution with a competitive platform, broadcast production and mechanisms to amplify the inherent educational benefits of esports.
In 2020, the WIAA Representative Assembly paved the way for WIAA and Playfly to offer esports to WIAA member schools by passing an amendment allowing the WIAA Executive Board to approve a two-year trial of a new sport/activity (WIAA Handbook Rule 7.2.3A).
2022-23 Season Information:
Our partner Playfly Esports and their platform provider, Generation Esports, will provide our WIAA community with:
- Live & Interactive Workshops for Teachers/Coaches/Administrators
- Dedicated & Attentive Customer Success & Support Teams
- Gaming Concepts Teachers' Guide
- A fall exhibition and a full spring season of formal competition including weekly streamed matches
- Games include: League of Legends, Rocket League, & Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
