The two organizations team up to boost financial literacy and enrichment for Washington high school students

RENTON, WA, November 6, 2019—Gesa Credit Union and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) today announced Gesa as a new premier sponsor for Washington high school state championships, as part of a six-year partnership agreement between Gesa and the WIAA.

“At Gesa we believe participation in school activities is vital to instilling the lessons of teamwork, leadership, and acceptance along with creating lifelong memories,” said Don Miller, President and CEO of Gesa Credit Union. “Partnering with the WIAA is a perfect fit because of our passion for education. Together our organizations will make a strong impact in the lives of educators, students, and their families across the state.”

Under the partnership agreement:

· Gesa will be a premier sponsor of all state championship events through 2025, with signage, visibility at all state championships events, online and mobile app presence.

· Gesa and the WIAA will work together to promote financial education and literacy in high schools, including offering resources to classrooms across the state.

· Gesa will be the title sponsor of the WIAA Sportsmanship program to promote fair play in all athletics and activities statewide.

· Gesa will be the title sponsor of the new Women in Sport Leadership conference that will launch in the summer of 2020.
