WIAA Hires Jennetta Blake as Project Coordinator
12/14/2017

RENTON, Wash. (Dec. 14, 2017) – The WIAA added Jennetta Blake to fill the open position of Project Coordinator set to start after the first of the year Executive Director Mike Colbrese announced, Thursday.

Blake joins the staff after serving as a substitute teacher in the Steilacoom School District and coaching the Steilacoom High School Cheerleading Team for the past five years. The Steilacoom HS alum is also a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

“Jennetta will be a great addition to the WIAA staff,” said Colbrese. “Her experience and ambition fit perfectly with the culture of the Association.”

In her position, Blake will provide general support to member school coaches and administrators, as well as assist in day-to-day functions at the WIAA office. Blake will also be an integral part of the planning and execution of the annual WIAA Coaches School Convention.

She joins fellow project coordinator, Sam Brown, who was hired in August of 2017 after serving as a full-time intern with the WIAA during the 2016-17 school year. Brown attended Mount Rainier HS before going on to receive her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Western Washington University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Washington. Brown oversees membership enrollment, billing and participation.
