The WIAA Executive Board voted to make accommodations to the 1B and 2B State Volleyball Tournament for member schools that recognize the Saturday Sabbath upon the recommendation from legal counsel. From this recommendation, the Executive Board decided the tournament would need to be altered and began to work on scheduling solutions.
To make these accommodations, the 1B, 2B State Tournament will be moved to Thursday-Friday, Nov. 9-10 while remaining at the Yakima Valley SunDome.
The 1A State Tournament, will remain on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 10-11, and will be played either at the Yakima Valley SunDome or at Pierce College in Puyallup, Wash.
