Kentwood High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Girls Basketball program during the 2025-26 school year.
The WIAA official season runs Nov 17, 2025 – early March 2026, depending on how far we advance in the postseason. Practices take place Monday-Friday. Games vary throughout the week. JV usually plays at 5:30PM and Varsity 7:00 PM. There are also opportunities for league and non-league games on Saturdays. It is expected that the assistant coach will support the head coach in organizing summer program activities and participate in open conditioning programs during the off season in compliance with WIAA and KSD policies.
We are seeking an Assistant Coach with a strong technical and strategic understanding of basketball, with experience competing and coaching at the high school, club, or collegiate level. The ideal candidate will have the ability to connect with high school student-athletes, offering guidance and mentorship, while working collaboratively and professionally with the coaching staff. A passion for promoting athletic development, teamwork, and leadership is essential.
