At Eastside Prep we focus on hiring coaches who: ? Create an athletics experience that inspires players to work hard, compete fearlessly and have fun. ? Model excellent character and uphold their athletes to the highest standards of sportsmanship ? Build a supportive team culture ? Possess a strong technical and strategic understanding of their sport
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Collaborate with and assist the Varsity Head Coach in planning, organizing, coaching, and developing the program and players. -Model and inspire essential team concepts of dedication, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship. -Generate enthusiasm and pride among students in the program. -Demonstrate the ability to teach skills and strategies associated with the game at this level. -Engage with student-athletes, colleagues, parents, opponents, referees, etc. with respect and positivity. -Philosophical alignment with striving to win while promoting the bigger picture of character, commitment, and team supportiveness. -Attend staff trainings and coaching clinics, as well as the end-of-the-year sports banquet. -Work as a collaborative member of the program and Eastside Prep community. -Know and adhere to Eastside Prep, Emerald Sound Conference, and WIAA policies and procedures. -Drive a 14-passenger bus/van to away practices/games (no special license required).
Minimum Qualifications: Expertise and experience coaching or playing soccer, preferably at the high school level or above. First Aid/CPR training, sudden cardiac arrest training, and head injury training are current (training provided, if needed) Successful completion of background check.
Season Start Date: August 26th Practices: M-F 3:45-5:15pm Season End Date: Late October/Early November
Stipend DOE ($4500-$5400)
