Description
|
Holy Names Academy is an independent Catholic school for girls in grades 9-12 with a strong and successful athletic program.
Holy Names Academy is hiring a Head Slowpitch Softball and Assistant Slowpitch Softball Coach for the fall 2024 season.
Slowpitch Softball Coaches will report to the Athletic Director.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Compliance with all Holy Names Academy, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.
• Supervision and instruction of softball student-athletes during all team activities.
• Effective communication with student athletes and their parents.
• Provide transportation for student athletes in a school vehicle as needed.
Requirements for the position of Head Varsity Slowpitch Softball Coach and Varsity Assistant Slowpitch Softball Coach include:
• Demonstrated knowledge, dedication, experience, and ability to teach softball skills and conditioning programs.
• Ability to teach student athletes sportsmanship, responsibility, discipline, teamwork, commitment, pride, and fun.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the HNA coaching staff.
• Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Possess a valid CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to obtain certification prior to season)
• Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger minibus (training provided).
• Be available for practices and competitions during their coaching season with availability on weekends as required for practices or competitions.
In-season coaching duties will begin on August 26, 2024, and run through October 2024.
Successful candidates will also be considered for the Fastpitch Softball Coaching position in the spring.
