Position Overview:

Bishop Blanchet High School is seeking a Varsity Softball Assistant Coach for the 2023-2024 - spring season. Applicants with previous coaching experience at the HS level, 21 years or older, possessing a valid Washington State driver’s license with a CDL endorsement, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred. This position reports to the Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Director.


Softball is a spring sport. The season runs from February 27, 2024 through May 21, 2024.


Responsibilities will include:
Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.
Supervision of student-athletes during all team activities:
Coaches need to be available between the hours of 3-9pm for practice and games (Monday-Saturday).
Effective communication with players, coaching colleagues, and parents
Promotion of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fair play among team members.
Developing players through skill development.
Teaching the rules of the game and technique to improve player development.
Summer Activities and Camp participation is encouraged with the job.


Compensation:
$2000-$3500
We offer competitive stipends that are paid in one installment, half way through the competition season. We also offer access to professional development and BBHS Athletics Apparel.

This position is not benefits eligible
